Gracious God,
for one hundred years
you have blessed
St. James Cathedral.
We give thanks to you
for the countless men and women
whose faith and vision
have helped to build
this house of God, this gate of Heaven.

Give us that same faith and vision
as we commit ourselves
to a new century of service
at St. James Cathedral.
Teach us to follow the example
of Christ who is in our midst
as one who serves:
help us to see his face
in the least of our brothers and sisters.

We pray in the name of the One
who is the same
yesterday, today, and forever:
Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
