Centennial Celebrations

Bishop Edward J. O'DeaIn November, 2004, St. James Cathedral launched a three-year centennial celebration, marking the centennial of three great moments in our history:  the founding of the Cathedral Parish (November 13, 1904), the laying of the cornerstone (November 12, 1905), and the dedication of the Cathedral (December 22, 1907).  We have observed these milestones with special Masses and ecumenical prayers; with educational events, parades and building projects.  Use the links below to explore past centennial events.

2005-2006  A Year of Prayer and Renewal

We began our Year of prayer and Renewal by renewing the promises of our baptism, committing ourselves to live out those promises as active members of this great parish.  The year was full of special events and opportunities for prayer.
