With her help, the Cathedral successfully completed the campaigns to fund the Archbishop Thomas J. Murphy Millennium Organ and launched the first Archbishop Raymond G. Hunthausen Golf Tournament. Also In Your Midst, this quarterly journal about our parish community, was first published in those days.
In 1998 Mary Ann left the Seattle area to accept a position as Vice President for Advancement at Mount Marty College in South Dakota where she directed a $30 million capital campaign for the college and initiated an integrated marketing program that stimulated a 25 percent increase in admissions for the school.
management, Mary Ann brings strong experience in planned giving and endowments to the Cathedral development program.
I am excited to be invited back to St. James, Mary Ann said. The complex and passionate values of this parish community coupled with meaningful acts of generosity and volunteerism have shaped the Seattle area for nearly a century. I hope that my work in the development program will continue to help friends and parishioners discover personally new ways to invest in the mission and ministries of the Cathedral and answer Gods call to stewardship.
