THE 150TH JUBILEE OF THE ARCHDIOCESE OF SEATTLE
During this Great Jubilee Year 2000, we celebrate the 150th Anniversary of the Archdiocese of Seattle, first established as the Diocese of Nesqually in 1850. Time has wrought tremendous changes for this Archdiocese, which began life as a wilderness outpost, and now serves nearly 750,000 Catholics throughout Western Washington. Special celebrations of the history and future of the Archdiocese are planned during the month of May visit the Archdiocesan Web site at www.seattlearch.org for details.
On Tuesday, July 25th at 2:00 PM, Archbishop Brunett will celebrate the 150th anniversary year in a solemn liturgy at St. James Cathedral.
