O Emmanuel, king and lawgiver,
desire of the nations,
Savior of all people,
come and set us free, Lord our God.
Intentions for today We pray for a greater openness to the spirit of God in our lives, that we may answer “yes” to God as Mary did. We pray for peace in our world and in every human heart.
O come, O come, Emmanuel,
And ransom captive Israel,
That mourns in lonely exile here
Until the Son of God appear.
Rejoice! Rejoice!
Emmanuel shall come to thee, O Israel.
