O Radiant Dawn, splendor of eternal light,
sun of justice: come, shine on those
who dwell in darkness and the shadow of death.
Intentions for today We pray for all our beloved dead, that they may come into the eternal light of God’s presence. We pray for those who mourn, that this Christmas season may not be a burden to them, but a consolation and a joy.
O come, Thou Day-spring, come and cheer
Our spirits by Thine advent here;
Disperse the gloomy clouds of night,
And death’s dark shadows put to flight.
Rejoice! Rejoice!
Emmanuel shall come to thee, O Israel.
