Holy Week begins! The 10:00am Mass begins at O'Dea High School Gym with
the blessing of palms.

Tyrone Heade, Cathedral Piper

We remember Christ's triumphant entry into Jerusalem. The palm fronds that
we carry recall the Gospel accounts and are an ancient symbol of victory.

Cathedral Brass proclaim: "All glory, laud, and honor to you, Redeemer King!"

It was a privilege to welcome our new Archbishop to preside at our Palm Sunday
liturgy.

Father Ryan incenses the Gospel book before proclaiming the special Gospel
reading, St. Matthew's account of Christ's entry into Jerusalem.

Members of the Cathedral Choir hurry ahead to prepare the procession route.

More than 1,000 parishioners, visitors, and friends joined the Palm Sunday
procession this year.

Like the crowds who welcomed Jesus to Jerusalem, we wave our palm branches and
sing "Hosanna" to the Son of David.

At the Noon Mass, the children gathered on the steps for their own procession of
palms.

"The Hebrew children, holding branches of palm in their hands, cried aloud:
'Hosanna to the Son of David.'"
