Prayer for Haiti Volunteers

PRAYERS FOR OUR HAITI VOLUNTEER GROUP

On Thursday, September 2 a group of eight volunteers from St. James will be heading to Haiti.
They will be serving for a week in Milot at the Sacré Coeur Hospital, run by the CRUDEM Foundation.
A couple of the volunteers are nurses and will work with patients.
The rest will be helping to restore the hospital chapel.
Please keep the group and the people of Haiti in your prayers.  Thank you for your support.

Lord, look kindly on your servants,
who have responded to the call
to love and serve others in your name.
We send them forth as messengers of peace,
marked with the sign of the cross.
Guide their steps and strengthen them in spirit,
so that they will not falter through weariness.
Make their words the echo of Christ’s voice,
and bless the work of their hands,
that they may bring new hope to those in need.
Send your holy angels
to guard and protect them on their journey,
and bring them back to us in safety.
We ask this in the name of Christ, our risen Lord.  Amen.
