Rev. Todd Strange - Mass of Thanksgiving
Father Todd Strange prays with the liturgical ministers before Mass begins.  Todd served as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion at St. James Cathedral before he entered the seminary.

For Todd, the journey of faith began in the font of St. James Cathedral, where he was baptized in 2001.  As Archbishop Brunett pointed out in his homily at the Mass of Ordination, Todd is the first person that the Archbishop both baptized and ordained to the priesthood!

Jesus took bread, blessed it, broke it, gave it to his friends.  The life of a priest and of every baptized person must follow the same pattern as we are broken and reshaped in God's image, and give of ourselves for others.

This is what it's all about:  leading God's people in the celebration of the Eucharist.

The chalice Father Todd is using was given to him by Father Peter Chirico, SS.  Todd cared for Father Chirico, who suffers from Parkinson's disease and now lives in Baltimore.  Father Chirico helped inspire Todd's priestly vocation.
