![]() Holy Saturday. Immediately following Morning Praise, preparations begin for the great Easter Vigil. Debe Meder (left) and her team arrange hundreds of tulips, hydrangeas, and above all, Easter lilies, for the altar decorations. ![]() Meanwhile, the dedicated members of the Cathedral Guild do everything from readying the tapers for the assembly at the Vigil and cleaning the votive candle glasses... ![]() ...to polishing the Paschal candlestand! ![]() Each year, the multi-talented Joseph Adam, Cathedral Organist, prepares the Paschal candle. ![]() Sacristan Brenda Bellamy engineered the hanging of eight gold banners, created by Kitty Kavanaugh and based on the art of Gustav Klimt. ![]() The sponsors of our fifteen Elect gather at the font for a rehearsal on Saturday morning. Helen Oesterle, Director of Religious Education, walks them through what will happen in the Liturgy of Baptism later tonight. ![]() Towels for the newly-baptized are counted and stacked in the South Sacristy. ![]() Detailed checklists help the sacristans not to miss any important details.
