The Cathedral decorated for Pentecost.




At the beginning of the 10 o'clock Mass, the choir sings an introit created for this occasion by chorister and noted Northwest composer Stephen Cavit.


Candles encircle the altar during the great Pentecost Sequence,
Veni Sancte Spiritus.

After Solemn Vespers of Pentecost, the neophytes take off the white robes they received at their baptism at the Easter Vigil.  "Ordinary Time" has begun!
