 The celebration of Palm Sunday begins with the joyful procession of palms. Here the Cathedral servers make their way to the O'Dea Gym, where hundreds of parishioners are gathered for the blessing.   Father Ryan proclaims the Gospel of the Lord's entry into Jerusalem.  A young server listens attentively.  The Cathedral Choir of St. James accompanies the procession with song.  Cathedral Piper Tyrone Heade.        Archbishop Brunett greets the faithful as the pass through the ceremonial doors.  At the Noon Mass, the children gather on the steps of the Cathedral for a special procession of their own.  The children of the Youth Music Program are excited to be carrying palms on this holy day.   The children listen as Father Ryan helps them find an image of Palm Sunday on the ceremonial bronze doors.  In the Cathedral, we gather around the font for the blessing of palms.  "The children of Jerusalem welcomed Christ the King; they carried palm branches and loudly praised the Lord: Hosanna in the highest!"
