Senior Tea

5/18/2006

We love our seniors!  Each year the Cathedral hosts a special gathering for its senior parishioners.  This year we celebrate the completion of the Archbishop Thomas J. Murphy Courtyard with a rosary around the image of Our Lady, Seat of Wisdom.  Here, Sister Claudette Conrad, who ministers to the elderly and homebound, leads the seniors in prayer.

After the rosary, a tea is served in the Rectory by Cathedral staff.

Sister Anne Herkenrath greets friends at each table.

The afternoon concludes with songs from St. James Cathedral's three children's choirs--the Schola Cantorum, and the St. Gregory and St. Cecilia training choirs.  Here, Stacey Sunde conducts while Clint Kraus accompanies the young singers on the organ.
