Archbishop Thomas J. Murphy Courtyard

Please be patient... photos will take a few moments to download.

Following the 10:00 o'clock Mass, we bless the new Archbishop Thomas J. Murphy Courtyard.  Here, the young women of Jubilate! prepare the way with their brightly colored streamers.

The children carry flowers as an offering to Mary.

The new courtyard serves as a gathering space for the parish community.

Father Ryan blesses the new courtyard with holy water as the "Thomas Bell," named for the late Archbishop Murphy, rings from the tower.

During the prayer, we listen to a meditation written by
Archbishop Murphy in the last months of his life.
"It is time again to embrace the wind and fire
of the first Pentecost."

The children of the parish have already discovered that the courtyard with its water feature is a fun place!

Members of Archbishop Murphy's family gather with Father Ryan in this new courtyard dedicated in honor of their beloved brother.
